week 1 post 2

3/7
I myself am a musician and am in a psychedelic rock band playing original compositions. Having this skill helps me out a lot in producing a music magazine of my own because of my experience of being in a band and having a unique sound of your own. Many bands exist in the Indie pop scene, one thing they have in common is a sound because of the same use of pedal, guitars, and amps. Yet in other more sophisticated genres the pedals and amps used are being used to get a one of a kind sound.

In this photo you can see Jimi Hedrix playing his guitar the only he knows how and his sound is crafted around those pedals and foot switches on the floor. The Jimi Hendrix Experience had a fuzzy, warm, and piercing sound because of the size of the amps and the style of rock and roll being played.
Psychedelic rock is a genre that captures many of audiences because there is more of a free jam feeling happening, which have people in ahh and giving them more of a free feeling. This allows people to let go a little more like the band and really connect with anyone and everyone around them, breaking down barriers.

To the right is Eric Clapton and a very powerful amp, a  Marshall stack.
